Row 5: 1 (man in striped tie) Mr James (sidesman); 2 Keith 'Ike' Dorrington, 3 Eleanor Hughes, 4 Barbara Joseph, 5 Hilary Hoare, 6 Margaret Bayliss, 7 (man with white hair), 8 Mr Ainscough (Town Postmaster).
Row 4: 1 (choir member) Les Ellis, 2 Mrs Harold Bright; 3 Evelyn Adams; 4 Hazel Hone; 5 Miss Ethel Cole; 6 Mrs. Agnes Poulton; 7 Ursula Smith; 8 Bob Adams (Sidesman who kept a paint and wallpaper business in town)
Row 3: (adults - all seated) 1 Harold Bright (Editor and Proprietor of the Dean Forest Guardian - now The Forester - and a lay reader); 2 Olive Gwilliam the church organist; 3 Winnie Turner (also a lay reader); 4 Rev Jones; 5 Rev Eric Brewin; 6 Mr Margerison (teacher at Bell's).
Row 2: (choirboys in front of those seated): 1 Chris Brewin; 2 Brian James; 3 David Dowle; 4 David Williams, 5 Malcolm Dorrington; 6 Paul Howell; 7 David Little; 8 Julian Smith.
Row 1: 1 ,2 Andy Barrow, 3, 4 Adrian Margerison, 5 Nick Brewin.

David wrote (July 2008): "... Coleford St John's Church Choir from the 1950s; although I'm in it I can't get the exact year but would hazard a guess at 1958 as I'm wearing long trousers"

Thanks to Gill Knowles who added (Sept 2008) "Row 6 Nos 3 and 4 are the Roberts Twins called Peter & Michael. Can't tell which is which. ... I believe. Row 3 No 3 Winnie Turner was Senior Mistress and Chemistry Teacher at Bells Grammar School".
