Fetter Hill, Gloucestershire in 1965.

A train pulling up the grade at Fetter Hill

Mark added: "... I attach an image of a stream train on Fetter Hill. I really enjoy these more distant shots showing the railway in the landscape. This one was taken in August 1965".

Peggy Ryland added: "... I would like to thank Mr Ward for sending in this picture. Th whole composition of the scene with the train is beautiful. It is nice for grandchildren of people who may not live in the Forest of Dean see what modes of transport where used there, and how the track wound it's way through the forest".

The majority of this railway line can now be enjoyed as a bike trail. - Ed.
