Iris wrote (July 2008): "I left E.D.G.S. at Easter 1955 and was employed by Temco as a Book-keeper - I left after 8 years. On the far right of the photo are 3 members of the Smith family. Harold J. Smith erected the Cable works near the river, but it was sold to Edison Swan in 1925 when Mr. Smith went bankrupt. His son and three daughters then ran a new Company, Temco, on the Lydbrook to English Bicknor road above Edison Swan. His grandson, Robin, is standing 2nd on the far right (spectacles), Mrs. Marshall being the lady by his left arm. I can supply quite a few names should you decide to use the photo. Mr. H. Smith had the Mansion built as a family home".

Thanks to Mike Payne for adding (August 2008) that the company is currently called Leoni Temco.

Thanks also to Frank Barnett , Alan Walker, Mike Payne, Mr Jack Powell and Mr Gary Watkins .
