Royston Pritchard added (October 2011): "... I estimate that the aerial photo was taken in the early 1930's. In 1952 there was a second dirt mound along-side the one shown in the photo. Also the one shown on the north side was planted with scots pine which were about 10 years old".

Heather Powell added (November 2011): "... Henry Brooks was married to my nan's sister Eva and Jack Lewis was my dad's brother".

Bryan Cooper added (January 2014): "... Henry Brooks was my "Uncle Harry" who was married to my Aunty Eva. She was my Nan's sister (Florence Kate Davies . nee Jordan).I was born at my Nan's home, Hillcrest, Upper Lydbrook. Sianna father was my cousin Chris who was the same age as me and another cousin Alan .. . Alan and I still live in Lydbrook. Chris moved to South Wales and tragically died young, in his thirties. He was a wonderful person and as kids we spent many many times together. Treasured memories".

David Brooks added (June 2015): "... Sianna is my partner who uploaded this picture for me a few years ago. I'm David Henry Brooks and Henry Brooks was my grandad. Chris was his youngest and was my dad. He died at 35 when I was ten and my sister Louise was 2. Gordon brooks still lives in the forest. And Ralph Brooks lives in Newport with Sheila and who looked after me a few years after my father (Chris) died".
