This is Albert Manns , son of Alfred Manns of Yorkley Wood (Bunnies 'ood). Albert was long time Sexton and Verger of St Mary’s Church Lydney. The photo was taken by Morton of Parkend.

Alfred Manns himself (b.1865) was son of Benjamin & Caroline Manns. In later life Alfred built his house with stone reclaimed from the excavation at Pillowell, hence Manns’s corner . The site was later bought by the West Dean Rural District Council , after his death at the princely sum of £5.00. His Father Benjamin was at one time Sexton at St Paul's church, Parkend.
