Mountaigne, Bream

This
photo was taken by Morton the photographer from Parkend. He took many
photos in and around Parkend in the early part of the last century. His
shop was near what is now the Woodman pub in Parkend. We think that it
is
a cottage
in or near Parkend. Electricity and the phone have both been laid on
and there is a motor bike parked next to the garage. I'm also interested
in any info on Morton, also Green the photographer from Lydney and J
W Porter, the photographer from Coleford.
If anyone can identify the house, please click the button below and send
in your info
Thanks to Sharon Wood (nee Pitcher) who wrote (June 2007): "Looks like 'Montague' I think that was the name of the house. It is now named Katie's Cottage on Brockhollands Rd Bream, at the junction with Beech Way. Mrs Watkins lived there".
Thanks also to Derek and Barbara James who added: (Feb 2008): "The cottage belonged to Harold Watkins (boxer), Montaigne, Woodside, Bream (now Brockhollands Rd) around 1925, 1930.
Thanks also to Debbie and Simon McMillan who added (April 2008): "...We have changed the name of the house back to what it was originaly - Mountaigne".
