Both photos are thought to have been taken in or near Sling.

Kelly Henschker (nee Bowkett) added (November 2009): "... Horace Thomas is my Great-Grandfather ... It's great to see these pictures as I have never saw such young pictures of my granch. Louisa and Jim would be my Great-Great Grandparents".

Sally Brown added (March 2011): "... The rocking horse picture is from 1914. My mother Has the original which is dated. The picture on the right must have been taken about 1948 probably in the garden at St Briavels Post Office. It does show Jim Thomas. The lady who is standing is Louisa Emily Dowle sometimes known as Em who would have been around 53 at the time. The baby is my cousin Eryl Williams. Her mother is Lorna eldest daughter of Albert and Louisa Dowle".
