The event was a poetry meeting with the girls from the 'Girls School'
in Naas Lane and boys from the 'Boys School' in Bream Road

(Nov 2006): "At
the Boys School we had black blazer, trousers, grey shirt (some wore
white) and the striped tie. Our blazer badge was the old oak
tree (in the park)".
Kevin also pointed out which schools were where
in Lydney in the 1960s.
Lydney Grammar School - by The Cross
The Boys School - in Bream Road
The Girls School - at the far end of Naas Lane, past the council houses,
last thing before the railway.
The Junior School in Naas Lane, (i.e. up past the Greyhound on the
right ).
The Church of England school (opposite Lydney Grammar School).
