The Severn Rail Bridge c 1965 many older Foresters will remember the bridge standing for several years with the spans missing. John's super photo is taken from the Forest side of the river, just upstream from the bridge.

David Long added (November 2019): "... I've played under it, ,walked over it adn rode over this bridge. Our dad was on it as a fireman after it was damaged he did not talk much about the horror of it".
