Their youngest daughter Elizabeth Daphne Baker (known as Daphne) was a Land Girl and I attach a photo of her taken in April 1943 in the Forest (top right). She was married in Parkend Church (St Pauls) on 5th June 1945 to Captain John Bryant Thomas from Gallatin, Tennessee who was stationed in the Forest. The wedding photo shows Mrs Mary Eliza Baker, George Baker, Daphne and John, and Hubert Thomas the best man (brother of John) who was also stationed in this country".
