Forestry Students at Parkend in 1961.

Students from the Forestyr School, Parkend

Pete wrote: "... In the background stood by land rover are 3 Forestry students (1961). I'm afraid I do not know their names, maybe someone will come forward, In the foreground starting from the left are Pete Brown, Tony Stringer, Dudley Hollis (Instructor), to the right Neil Osman, far right not known. This was taken in the Forestry depot next door to the Fountain Inn, as you can see the Forestry school in the background.

The caption with the photo says: "Forestry students at Park End school at Lydney in the Forest of Dean, learning how to sharpen and oil cross-cut saws. Special benches, invented in Sweden hold them at exactly the right angle".
