Aston Bridge Lodge

The House that John Vaughan lived in before Sallow Vallets.
Geoff Waygood wrote articles on the Forest Lodges in The New Regard, No 18 (2003) and No 19 (2004).
He wrote: "... Situated high up on a hill at the Pludds and overlooking Aston Bridge Incosure, the lodge described as in a poor state was let with two acres of land in 1908 at 1s 6d a week, or £4 a year. It continued to be let throughout the First World War to various tenants - mainly Crown labourers or colliers. It was demolished in the early 1960s ..."
