Knights Hill Sunday School in 1914

Chris wrote: "... Attached is a photo which belonged to my late mother Lucy Jones (nee Arnold) who lived on Knights Hill until she married Norman Jones and moved to Cinderford. Sundays Schools were obviously well attended back in 1914. I’m sorry that there are no details on the reverse of the photo and I can provide no other information but thought it might be of local interest".
The Victoria History entry for the chapel: "... The Bible Christian cause at Ruardean Woodside was renewed several times before 1881, when a handful of people built a chapel at Knights Hill, to the west. The chapel, called Zion, became part of the Methodist Church in 1932 but closed in 1973 (fn. 85) and was a house in 1992.
Clive Mason added: "... Us brothers attended when we moved from Brierley to Woodside a long long time ago about 1956".
Julie Hope added (March 2022): "... I was christened at this chapel in 1952. My grandmother (Ethel Freeman ) cleaned there and lit the stove on Sunday mornings".
