Whitecroft were eventual winners after a replay.

Thanks to Chris Warren for consulting his records (Mar 2007) and supplying the following
"The original game was abandoned during extra time. Whitecroft were 2-0 up at half time with goals from Hook & Jessop. Joe Phelps and Terry Bradley scored for Hilldene during the second half. The replay was on May 14th at Broadwell Whitecroft goals were scored by Hook and B. Jessop. The Hilldene scorer was not mentioned in the report".

Abandoned due to weather conditions.
Attendance 600.
The J.O. Roberts Cup , Geo.Sandoe Cup and F.J. Pope Cup, are all played for by North Glos League clubs to raise monies for local charities".
Thanks also to Ivor Ellis for researching further (Mar 2007): "After speaking to Norman Howells (in the photo) - the match was abandoned in the second half due to the water-logged pitch and replayed later- again at Broadwell. Whitecroft's opponents were Hilldean. The final score in the replay was Whitecroft 2 Hilldean 1. Norman's winner's medal puts the year at 1965-1966.
