Annie Dufty is pictured outside the Rising Sun Inn, Bream which she ran with her husband Joe Dufty. Joe was originally from Whitecroft and Annie was Annie James. Annie was popularly known as "Aunt Annie" and the Rising Sun was refered to as Aunt Annie's during her time there. The Duftys took on "The Sun" on the day that war broke out in September 1939. She left the Rising Sun at some time between 1948 and 1952. Clarence Handcocks was the next Landlord.
