The photo was taken in the late 1980's and hung in the Sunday School rooml.

The last Service held at Parkend Road Chapel took place on Jan.15th. 2012. The chapel was used for Worship Services. The premises was also used for Sunday School, Womens' Fellowship, Ladies' Tuesday Group (originally Young Wives Group), Pantomime performances, Youth Group, Brownies, Cubs/Scouts, Mothers & Toddlers Group. The congregation now meet for Worship Services every Sunday morning at West Dean Community Centre, Bream. They also hold coffee mornings at the centre on Saturday mornings once a fortnight.

The left hand building is the Chapel, the Sunday School Room is on the right and the the downstairs Bottom Room to the far right is hidden by the bush. The red cross was illuminated at night.
