Bill Nash added: "... The junction in the foreground is Drybrook Road and Morse Road (51.846524, -2.518607) The railway crossing under Drybrook Rd would take you on to the Euroclydon Tunnel. The houses in the immediate foreground are still there!"

Marcia Davis added: "My great grandparents, William and Julia Minchin, lived in the house on the right in the foreground till 1911 when they moved to Australia. Their daughter Florence married Vic Smith in August 1911. He was the son of Emmanuel Smith who owned the general store, London House, in Drybrook from about 1878 to the 1970's. Vic and Florie also left for Australia in September 1911 ..."

Steve Ince added (March 2019): "... I am from Salford Lancashire, I have lived in Bristol since leaving the forces in 1983. I began research on my family tree some years ago, A family member in Australia posted a spreadsheet, 'the Sinderys Gloucestershire to Lancashire'. The Sindreys being my Paternal Ancestors. I have found my Great Great Grandfather Samuel Sindrey on the Drybrook polling district document. I think i have come full circle from Lancashire to Gloucestershire. My Great Great Grandfather,Samuel Sindrey Moved to Lancashire in the early 1800's".

Graham Giles added (June 2021): "... In reply to Steve Ince I would add that all the people I knew in Drybrook in the 1950's called themselves Cinderey. Were they related I wonder ?"
