Tony added: "... The only person I can name is my grandfather, Charlie Howells. (4th from right). The British Red Cross - St John's Ambulance Assn. was presented with this ambulance in memory of Richard Beaumont-Thomas. RB-T was the managing director of the company that owned the Lydney and Lydbrook tinplate works. He died in 1917".
The sign says: Load not to exceed 1 Driver, 1 Attendant & 8 patients.
